Fort Ticonderoga is filled with adventure as you and your family step into a moment in time.  Each year our amazing team brings to life a specific year and historic story which will delight and engage your entire family.  Step into our trades shop and try your hand at tailoring or shoemaking!  Take a children's tour and be sure to be thrilled by our musket demonstrations offered each day. Participate in our Family Program and receive rewards for helping the soldiers. No visit to Fort Ticonderoga is complete without a family photo with our epic cannons.

Outdoor Fun

Fort Ticonderoga's historic landscape includes 2000 acres, so there is plenty of space to run, climb, and explore.  Visit the King's Garden and roll up your sleeves into fun garden activities that will engage your senses.  The Heroic Corn Maze: A Corn Maze Adventure is a 6-acre life-size puzzle cut out in the shape of the fort  and the design changes each year, making it a great annual family tradition. Conquer the Heroic Maze mid August through October.  Hiking is a great part of your family's Fort Ticonderoga experience. If water exploration is more your speed, be sure to rent a canoe and take a self-guided tour of the La Chute / Lake Champlain waterway or take a 60-minute guided tour aboard M/V Carillon.  Be sure to finish your Fort Ticonderoga adventure with a visit to Mount Defiance where you can have a birds-eye view of the majestic and historic region.  Pack a picnic lunch from America's Fort Cafe to bring up to Mount Defiance and enjoy it in the picnic shelter located at the top of the mountain. *Added fees may apply to some of these activities.
