Living History Event: Ordered to Join the Northern Army in Canada

American reinforcements streamed north in March of 1776 to support the American Army in Canada. During this event, visitors discovered how veteran New York soldiers and raw recruits assembled at Ticonderoga in the spring of 1776. They also saw how New York soldiers used British military drills to use their muskets and fowlers against their enemy.

In addition to the living history event, we hosted Boy Scout Troop 6004 from Glens Falls, NY for an unforgettable overnight experience! They participated in the event, practiced formation tactics and drills, assisted the trades staff with demonstrations, and slept in the Fort Ticonderoga barracks!
