Ausable Chasm
Visit primeval times while you descend hundreds of feet to explore natural stone walkways and enjoy amazing natural scenery. Suitable for beginners, the nature trails wind through an awe-inspiring Adirondack forest. You’ll take fantastic photos at Rainbow Falls, Elephant’s Head, Column Rock, Hyde’s Cave, and the famous Mystic Gorge. Take in the incredible geological history etched in the stones and sneak in a science lesson for the kids. There’s also a scenic raft ride on the historic Ausable River, with dramatic rock formations molded over thousands of years by the river’s currents.

Million Dollar Beach
This quintessential family beach is the largest and most well-known beach in Lake George, with lifeguards, clean locker rooms and showers, a sandy volleyball court and plenty of room to lay out a beach blanket or hoist up a beach umbrella. Shelving Rock Falls is a 50-foot cascade that lies to the east side of Lake George. On these wide and flat paths, be sure to plan about an hour to reach the top. It makes a great hike for first timers, children, and seasoned veterans.
