Fort Ticonderoga is open for daily visits May until November and offers numerous special events and programs throughout the year!  Check out our calendar for special events, reenactments, and behind-the-scenes and special evening tours

Directions:
Visiting the Adirondack and Lake George regions? Ticonderoga is centrally located and situated beautifully on Lake George and Lake Champlain.  Click Here for Google Map 

GPS coordinates - Fort Ticonderoga is located at 100 Fort Ti Road in Ticonderoga, New York.

From US Interstate 87 (North or South) – Take Exit 28 onto NY Routes 22 and 74 East - Follow for about 18 miles - Turn left onto Route 74 East – Follow for about a ½ mile and the entrance to Fort Ticonderoga will be on the right.

From NY Route 9-N (North or South) – Follow 9-N to the traffic circle in the town of Ticonderoga -- Turn east onto Montcalm Street and continue 3 miles through 2 stoplights and 1 flashing light onto Route 74 East – Follow for about a ½ mile and the entrance to Fort Ticonderoga will be on the right.

From Vermont – Follow state Route 74 West to the Ticonderoga Ferry (toll ferry) at Shoreham or Route 22A via Route 73 in Orwell- After crossing Lake Champlain, the main entrance to the Fort will be 1 mile ahead on the left.

Rochester, NY – 5 hrs.
Syracuse, NY – 4 hrs.
Burlington, VT – 1.5 hrs.
Montreal, QUE – 3 hrs.
Boston, MA – 4 hrs.

Fort Ticonderoga now offers FREE shuttle service from the Ticonderoga Train Station to Fort Ticonderoga and Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn and Suites.  Guests arriving aboard the AMTRAK Adirondack Line in July and August will be able to enjoy round trip shuttle service.
